2010 finally ended a couple of hours ago, to some of us it is a year where we experience many breakthroughs; yet to some, it’s reflected as a “hard” year where we went through many rough patches. Regardless of the experiences, let us embrace 2011 with Hope and Faith; believing that it will be the best year yet for all of us with restoration of dreams; experiencing success, promotions and breakthroughs.

The Perfect Fit; The Perfect Seat!

During the wee hours on Christmas Day, I came across a small little book where I bought 5 years ago "Here I am to worship" by Tim Hughes and I have to confess that this book was bought but not read; however 5 years later it "spoke" to me.

I was flipping through the pages of the book, checking out on the contents and why on earth did I buy without even reading it. While browsing, I came across this page where Tim Hughes wrote "I will never have the guitar skills of Eric Clapton or the voice of Bono, but that doesn't matter, since God delights in using me the way I-am the way He created me to be."

That kind of caught my attention because sometimes while soaked in a fast pacing world today, we can be easily disappointed by/with people and sometimes even with ourselves with self doubts like; "Why can't I be better off?" "If only I can be as smart as this/that person" "I wish I could have the talent that the other party is having.." and the lists goes on.

With the overwhelming effects of all these questions and self doubts, we tends to overlook that God delights in using us the way He created us to be.. we are all created in His image and uniquely created!

Each are giving a talent and a destiny, instead of doubting on what's given and trying to put on someone else's shoes; we can be ourselves and start building those gifts and talents that are given to us individually and in due season we will find a fitting place that is according to God's plan which will fit us perfectly... The Perfect Fit; The Perfect Seat!

I woke up every morning with a great sense of hope, believing that my day will be fruitful and fulfilling.

Yet there were the days I started my day with great hope but ended defeated, however there were also the days I ended my day with great victories!

Victories and defeats are part and parcel of life, whether we start our day with hope/s or without, they are there. And it's only a matter of "which day" that it happens.

When I start my day with a great sense of hope, there could be a possibility of me ending it victoriously. However if I were to start a day without any hope, I know I'm screwed for the day.

Conclusion:
Someone ever shared this with me; "Human can survive a day without food but not a second without hope!"

Leadership vs Relationship

Was having a conversation with a good friend of mine and he asked me a question pertaining to the leadership of romance of the three kingdom, and honestly that caught me thinking.

1. Why would the followers of Liu bei faithfully follow him despite knowing that he is pretty soft in his character?

2. Why would the followers of Cao Cao willing to die for him despite knowing that he is a crude and unscrupulous man?

3. Why would the followers of Sun Quan follow him knowing that he owns probably 50% (each) of the abilities of what Cao Cao and Liu Bei has?

Well.. my take would be; RELATIONSHIP PRECEDES KINGSHIP / LEADERSHIP.

Probably somewhere down the road, these leaders have influenced, loved and met the needs of their followers. Thus despite the flaws in them, the followers still love them and willing to lay down their lives for them.

Conclusion:
To build a kingdom is never about trying to drive an event or rule like a tyrant, but to humble ourselves and build that relationship with our followers.

Kingdoms comes and go but relationships stays!!

Spinach wrap and carrot juice...

Had spinach wrap with roasted chicken fillings and carrot juice for dinner @ a small little cold storage along Cuscaden Road. The wrap tasted yummy and "clean" as in not greasy... feeling healthy after taking it.. haha

Celebrated my buddy's (Shaun) birthday at Siglap area and had a great time catching up with Shaun, Charmaine, Sharon, Val and Aiming. Managed to hitch a ride from Sharon back home(THKS Sharon) and started mugging my paper for Reg Cert... hopefully can clear them the 1st time round on Monday.. Jia you!! :)

Had a good run at the gym and I'm now travelling home via a noble invention known as SMRT, packed train though but I managed to secure a seat by the side blogging my way home.

Well.. I notice that some Singaporeans are really K..PO!! They simply like to look into the message that you are blogging and writing!! And as I'm blogging right now, a lady is watching what I'm typing on my mobile!! "hey you!!! Please la!! privacy!!!" haahaa

Finally she turned away after seeing what I wrote.. guess it pricked her conscience... Woahhh!! ;)

It's another brand new day!! Well, day 1 at training was alright.. Bump unto a friend of mine that happen to join the same Bank as I am, at least not gonna be alone haha :)

Woke up early this morning and went for some Value training and the trainer is just simply amazing!!! Spent the whole day at Newton area for training and met Carine for a salad dinner... Headed off to the gym for a run after my dinner :)

Woke up at 7, had myself washed up and set sail for my new journey. Feeling excited for the day but missing my colleagues and friends from my previous company at the back of my mind.

Been quite some time since I update my blog, let's colour it with some life... Hahaha

Though life have been busy for me lately but I must really claim for the past 5 mths at my new work place I'm really enjoying myself. Never before I look forward to work everyday despite the travelling distance that I have to travel from Jurong to Bedok and Bedok back Jurong, everyday is a brand new adventure for me where I get to meet customers from all walks of life with different needs in them.

And though everyday has it's challenge but I thank God for a GREAT and WONDERFUL manager and colleagues that guided me with patience!! hahah And last but not least, presenting to you some wonderful photos of myself.. .Wahahahaha

The day where CRASH took place...

An amazing incident took place yesterday at 7.33pm at JW, my 3 years old lappy suddenly went into coma (Blue screen, hard disk CRASH)... Tried to rescue it but to no avail and "went home" this morning 1030am.. "Amazing grace.. how sweet the sound.. :( " (Well guezz it has OVERWORK!!!)- RIP buddy!!

Went to purchase a new lappy name Asus EEE PC ... seems like it serves me pretty well ;)

David had his 3 mighty men and me too I have my mighty men and women. Had wonderful svc and after the svc, Bing Rong, Wei Quan, GX, Sheryl, Qi Yin, Iris and Wally help me with the keeping of canvas(which is REAL HEAVY!!!) and "reformat" the cafe back to it's origin... hahah

Our In House Pastry Master Pearlyn baked 2 BIG fruit cakes for the CGs.. and it taste FANTASTIC!!! THUMBS UP!!!!

Next we have the indonesia cuisine prepare by Rayvin's Cg.. Man!!! this is DELICIOUS!!!! I LOVE IT to the CORE!!!!! It's called "Nyuk Nyang" or commonly known as "Bakso" in indonesia. The meat balls are not those that are commonly found in supermarkets but imported from indonesia direct... and the amazing thing is the chilli (where you have to mix it with the "bakso").. Woooaahhh!!! trust me you'll get a free "steam bath" after consuming it... it's HOT and SPICY.. for all those who love spicy food, this may be one of your option.. haha :) Upon 5 my rating is 4.. Yummy!!

Greetings to all my viewers!!! How are you guz doing? Hmmmm been a long time since I really blog.. Ok here's some good stuff for all.

I've been reading the latest issue August magazine and found this article pretty interesting thus thought of sending it out for all:

WALKING THE LINE

August magazine states that a man knows how to tread the fine line between voyeurism and exhibitionism. He knows when he is attracting unwanted attention and how to step away from it subtly. He's aware of when he ought to step up to the forefront and take lead. He knows how to keep his cool, even he doesn't have to.

A man is naunced; he speaks with thought and intent. Always succinct and intelligent, even when he isn't prepared to be...A man is someone who is able to look at himself in the mirror and know that he has been both voyeur and exhibitor and is unashamed of all that he has shown and told. That is a man to be respected and revered.

Hmmm... Something for us men to really ponder over..

050409: Woke up pretty early on Sunday, had breakfast with Weiquan, Jeff, Jiasi, Nick, Jason and Rina before CG starts at Yah Kun and met up with Wally shortly after that, got to know 2 new friends, Derek and Le tian and headed off to CG together. After the meeting with w427, Sheryl and I headed off straight for W388 meeting, caught in a thunder storm, took a bus instead of train to prevent from been drench. Had a fun meeting with W388, a couple of them started off dancing along with some video clips from Youtube during our fellowship, headed off to meet Carine to celebrate with her on getting a new job around 5pm, had dinner at Changing Appetites and went to esplande to chil for a while and headed home after that... Feeling sleepy now, gonna fellowship with Zzzz Monster.. thanks for viewing, nites guz!!!

Embracing a NEW Diet!!!

040409: Lately I've been talking to one of my colleague and I must really compliment him in terms of his diet and his determination to slim down, which he did tremendously eventually. I believe everyone of us can afford to look good and cool as the God that we're serving is not a boring or dull God but one who is full of creativity and of style. Infact who we are on the inside is reflected via our outward appreance and that is why people who struggle with low self-image tends to hold back in terms of their dressing as they are afraid of the remarks and comments that others might make on them, hence in order to protect themselves they choose to look "average"... BUT that is not what God has intended for us, we can afford to look STYLISH, COOL and CONFIDENT because we're created in His image!! So having said all that I decided to try out a new diet...Muahhaha of-course please don't misunderstood me as one of low self-image, reason why I wanna look good is simply because I believe in that and looking good to me is a conviction NOT preference.. well anyway from my colleague, I notice he's on a "Nut diet" (for more details please click on this link http://archive.supermarketguru.com/page.cfm/148) thus I decided to join him also, bought some nuts (Walnuts and almonds) from the supermarket and gonna try eating that as a meal replacement and see if it works for me.. :) To all my viewers, "perharps you wanna join me" ;)

“Potential” = a) possible, as opposed to actual, b) capable of being or becoming, c) possibility; potentiality d) a latent excellence or ability that may or may not be developed, e) someone or something that is considered a worthwhile possibility. There’s a potential seed that lies in each and every single one of us, theses potential seeds could be a talent like singing, dancing, drama…etc or could be any other areas that cause us doing something that astound ourselves. The matter of fact is that the potential seed that is in us will only remain as a “potential” when we choose to live in it but when we make that decision to live it out to the fullest, that’s where we find it exploding with waves of energy impacting the community around us. What is that potential seed of yours? Let’s live it out to the fullest!!

260309: Had lunch together with my lunch cum gym buddy, wanted to buy my coffee for the day after lunch but the queue was super LOOOONG!!!! thus ended up buying Nesfrappe Macchiato from Carrefour. Hmmm.. well it's kinda of a disappointment as it didn't taste that tasty after all, it overly SWEET!! and the feeling is like drinking 280ml worth of suger syrup.. Errk!! but I won't deny that their packaging looks pretty nice thus I kept it as a water bottle to use in office... Ringgggggg!!! 240309: Had our very 1st meeting together, thought of using Suntec office but it was fully booked and thank God we manage to find a place near maxwell market area and the rental cost is only $15 for 2.5 Hrs (Pretty reasonable!!). Starting our meeting with admin and some short planning for this week, prayed and ended with fellowship @ Maxwell food market, I love my team and one word to describe when with them "FUN" hahaha... 230309: Recently I took a picture of an empty seat while travelling to work. Slightly 3 inches above the seat wrote "PRIORITY SEAT", as I was looking into the photo that I took, a thought came to me... Every Living creature has a "priority seat" in their life, to some people, "promotion", "wealth" or maybe "health" seats on it , yet for some of them could be "study", "family' or "earning a living" that are seating on it.. But how or what about God then? When we were younger where we do not have much, God is our everything, we will find ourselves praying & reading the bible everyday, going to church to queue up before service starts, tithe whenever we receive our allowance and it is obvious that God seats on that "priority seat" of ours but when we grow older, as committment starts to build up, we tends allow it to share our "priority seat" with God and perhaps for some of us, God is no longer seating on it, instead seating on it are our "career", "spouse", "latest car", "kids", etc.. When this happen, coming to church is no longer a "want" but an "option"... "oh maybe I should excuse myself this week for service because I have housework that need to be done", "oh probably I should go picnic with my son's friends' parents and miss cg this week", "maybe I'll not tithe this month as I need to make down payment for my new car". My fellow viewers and friends, God doesn't just want to be the "number one" in your life but also the "only one" that seats no that "priority seat" of ours ...

170309: Good Morning Faji!!!! Time to wake up!!! woke up from dream land and headed for work. Hit road and met the rain, thank God wasn't drench, started my day at work at 9am and ended at 7pm, headed for riverwalk, had a great meeting, met my new team mates (Zoe, Gladys, Wendy, Jessica and of course Peter who is serving the nation, and it is because of him we can sleep peacefully at nite! Way to go bro! :D ) and went for fellowship after that. Flagged for "2.80" (Cab) and headed home together with Rayvin, Yu Zhen and Lynn, gonna end my day soon by giving Carine a call ... haha !!! Nitz everyone :)

Sentosa Raiders Vs Starry Necklace

140309: Started my day @ Sentosa with a group of "Sentosa Raiders!" Hit harbour front @ 830am and proceed to Palawan @ 9, set up the place, contact briefing and flag off the event. The Sun is HOT, Sea is Blue, Sand seems soft and we had a great time. Ended program at 1pm, wash up, head down for service and reached Jurong around 3pm. Left my socks at home, went opposite church and purchase a pair for 80cents,head straight for service and had a wonder time with Pastor Paul Scanlon, proceed on with prize presentation for Sentosa Raider event straight after service , various teams received their well deserved prizes and ended off with group photo taking. Had a short meeting with Pastor, met up with Carine and send her home, bump onto Benjie, Augi and Shuani on the train together with Kel and had a great time chatting with them. Alighted at Bedok with Carine, had a late dinner, present to her her "Starry Necklace" and she's filled with joy upon seeing it, put on the necklace for her and walked her home shortly after that. Had an eventful and fruitful day, thank you for viewing.. Oh.. will upload photos for sentosa raiders soon.. keep ya posted. Cheers! :)

130309: Congrats everyone!! It's Friday 13 again, is it a myth or a fact? well that depends on your faith then, as it is written " let it be to you according to your faith..." as for me, I had an eventful day on the Friday of 13. After office hours, headed down to Riverwalk with Nick, had an eventful and memorable meeting, investigate a theft case like a detective with various people and went home with Jasper at 2250. Show him my blog along the way, reach home @ 2325, took a shower, had conference with Pastor and finally ending my day by updating FJ Times with little words... Guess I've clocked my deserved amount of words, thank you for viewing and will update more tomorrow.. Cheers ;)

The Beginning..

12009: Jump out of bed @ 8am, wash up, dress up and went off to work with my backpack on my back. Hit office at 9 with my usual Ya Kun Kopi O Ice (Less sugar of course), start up my dinosaur laptop, praying that it won't die on me and usually it take ages to start up before it functions normally. Had an eventful day at work today, lunched with Nick and Rayvin at 1330, bump unto Louis at Macdonalds and ate together. Head back office at 1430 and shortly after that Joyce brave the crowd at the Comex Fair and got herself a "Eee PC"!! Congrats Joyce!! ;) Before ending my day at work, I finally make a decision that I would never imgine myself making which is starting up a blog, tried mingling with it for a while but it seems alittle profound, pack up eventually and went to get a surprise gift for Carine, a starry necklace where she saw over last weekend. Reached home at 10, showered, tidying up some report for AGM now and gonna call Carine soon. Alright.. thats all for the day and Good Night to all my viewers :)
